Hi! I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD) trained at Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania. I am also an author, teacher and researcher.

I use contemporary psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to assess/treat many conditions including personality disorders (e.g., narcissistic; borderline), sleep disorders (e.g., insomnia), anxiety, depression, and more unusual conditions.

After an evaluation, we will work together to meet your treatment goals using up-to-date clinical approaches. Good therapy is always focused on helping you better understand yourself and the changes you want to make. It is not about indoctrination.

I help people suffering from the conditions described above as well as problems that are have been resistant to prior treatment. I also devote a good bit of my practice to the treatment and supervision other psychologists and therapists.

I am able to work with people in 39 states. I have found that teletherapy quickly feels natural, even if you have never tried it before.

My research, teaching, and clinical experiences allow me to offer broad, current, empathic, and evidence-based care. It also helps me stay current in the field. I am an active researcher with more than 50 professional publications and four books.
